Same cs count but they made more money?

So I just had a remake game where my duo was playing kassadin mid vs a zoe... they both went 12/12 on the first two waves before the remake went through. she purchased dark seal and a pot while kass bought dorans ring and a pot... somehow zoe had 32 more gold than him.. both of us were just curious how that is possible. she didn't have kleptomancy so what could have caused it?

Because different minions have different gold values. If you miss a cannon but pick up an extra caster, you will still be down gold

2 waves before the remake, not 3. Can't count cannon

So remember mid lane is slightly shorter than the other lanes, so they will have access to more than two waves in the first 3 minutes (and also the votes takes some time to pass, the game actually lasted 3m 18s so theres a bit of extra time there as well).

I just tested quickly in a practice game, and in mid lane I had 20 cs at the 3 minute mark killing only lane minions, and I did miss a few as well, so theres definitely time to get more than 12 cs, and more importantly theres time to get a different mix of casters/melees/cannon.

So I went and watched the replay (completely forgot this was a thing) Mysticman89 is correct. 3 waves did come in before the remake votes. She got the cannon from the 3rd wave.. he didn't. thanks for all the quick responses though!
