So the other game I played with a good and skilled players, but we lost anyway because our team simply lacked any kind of poke.
Is there someone who could tell me the basic things that every team needs to win? (like when you need a tank and when you don't, when you should pick 2nd tank or assasin, etc.)

Why do you need poke? If you hadn't any, you have champs that can engage. Sorry, but I think you just played your Comp wrong ^^

I would say the one thing that is kinda mandatory to have in some form in any team is hard CC of some sort and at least one AD user.
