Hi all, I'm recently coming back to league and am still playing support. However, i never played Taric and was curious if anyone has mained him or at least had some time with him, and could tell me how he would do in the current meta. Thanks guys. :)
redniwediS1 votesEvery champion can do well if you're willing to put the effort in, however other supports do what Taric does in an easier way. He's definitely worth trying out though, it's always fun to kill a jungle Yi as a level 8 Taric support.

No, but seriously, Taric is a great niche pick.
He's incredibly strong as an AOE armor manipulator and early game 12 second summoner heal bot.
Your team needs to group for you to be effective, so Taric's not a solo queue champ by any means, but he's great if you have a trustworthy ADC.
Ser Safir1 votesI hate to say this. At one time I was a taric main. His e flash ult was amazing. But now, he feels so useless.
Riot hates point and click stuns.
He is not a very useful champion, rarely played. The last time I checked Urgot was banned more often than him.
Braum does what Taric does, but better. The only upside to Taric over Braum is the skillcap is easier.
His 'e' flash ult combo is like a landed thresh hook and initiate, but worse. It will cc them less time, and will probably do less damage.

UberAffe1 votesHe is my main support, like others have said you do need your team to group to really be effective. Personally I would put him on par with most other supports because he is fairly flexible in how you can play him. I normally play him by starting stun and maxing w so I can run up to the enemy adc and smack them. However, if the enemy has too strong of a disengage or you get camped or just a crappy adc you have the option of maxing your heal first along with rushing face of the mountain to keep them alive.
Also his passive does a fair amount of damage and can make your stun closer to a 6 second cd if used properly.
