Is Velkoz support a good way to climb?
I've seen quite a number of these velkoz players playing in the support role and the number of Q's they can dish out is insane considering the benefits of hitting the skill, high base dmg, high ap ratio, 70% slow and can easily hit multiple targets and acts as a zoning shot. It's not punishable if he misses Q since its low mana cost of 40 rank 1 and he can alter it in many angles for it to hit, and however if he does hit it becomes almost certain death unless flashed since people can follow up.
Considering many of the other mages in bot lane to play, I don't see why not this wouldnt be the only option to play since it beats all traditional mage supports and quite possibly some hooks and tanks since he offers enough cc at mid-to-high range to disengage any attempts. Any opinions on using this to climb the ladder? My opinion is that the Q spam is annoying in lane, the laser has a 20% slow already and can kill people 25% hp or followup with his passive and he only just scales up later in the game as he builds more ap and does more true dmg.
Haven't tried using him in solo q but he seems like a viable option, even more so that they might nerf this champ cause it offers far more aggressive utility in lane than most mages at equal dmgs and he has much more poke potential and zone potential in lane considering hes a high range mage
