Zac - Revert Ult Change

The new Q is useful, but the new ult is not.

Zac feels so under powered now. Riot ripped out a huge part of his kit. I dont understand what Riot thought was bad about the original ult. It provided so much more utility and usefulness.

With the old ult I could e into a champion trying to take a tower, clear the minions with my e, w and ult, knock them up multiple times and keep them under the tower with the added tower aggro to secure a kill. I could also use the ult as an escape to get out of a bad situation, and a very reliable way to proc my courage of the colossus. The ult was great to dive into a team fight, and re-position squishies with my e, ult combo. Thats exactly what Riot tried to make the new ult, it does exactly what Zac's old ult did, but with less reliability.

What we are left with is a new ult, which aims to do exactly as the old ult did, but does it worse. The new ult also has no other creative ways to be used like the old ult did. The new ult is extremely one dimensional; its very obviously what you are supposed to do with it, and there's no other viable ways to use it.

I also find it hilarious that Riot reduced the knock-up time on his e while simultaneously adding an ult that requires that knock-up time to be used as set up. No one is going to stand on you when you flatten into a puddle of goo to trap them and bring them back into your team. Zac is complete garbage now.

Please for the love of LoL revert back to the old ult. You have successfully ruined my favourite champion, and my main for solo que. I was rocking a 65% win rate in diamond with over 200 games on Zac. Now I wouldn't even play him in ranked. Or normal's, because he's not fun anymore.

All of my yes, Zac was my second most played jungler. Now he's just so clunky. I don't like his new Q, but i'd be fine if he kept it...

...but his ult.... wtffff it does everything his old ult did... but worse! Old ult allowed to disrupt a WHOLE team AND knock back ennemies into or away from your team... with his new ult, you have to pick which you do, and even when you do, it's worse than before.

Even if they buff him and he's balanced, i wouldn't even care, his new ult is super clunky and underwhelming. Even when you land a three man ult into your team it's just boring compared to what he was before.

Please for the love of God revert the Zac changes and admit you made a mistake Riot... You completely ruined a champion.

I agree. I thought his rework wasn't that bad. But I can't see his ult being any good without massive buffs to make it OP or unfair af.

Learn to use it, stop complaining, i'v seen zac mains on my own discord that can use that to incredible efficiency.

Suck it up and learn to play around your own champions strengths and weaknesses.

Knock them up multiple times

Now I know you're just on the Zac hate hype train You could only knock up people once with Zac's ult, otherwise it would have been purely broken

As for the new ult, it's not as terrible as all of you 1st time Zac players think it is. It's more combo-focused now, that's it. You E in later for your team to be there, then you use to for the charged Ult to kidnap a carry into your team. Or you land behind them and just instant pop your ult to knock them into your team quickly.

I'm rank 6 with old Zac btw, so I'm not some noob when it comes to that champion at all. It isn't hard for me to see how to properly use him, so if you did have 65% win rate with over 200 games then it shouldn't be hard for you too either.

What Riot didn't like about his old ult, and one of the goals for the tank rework, was the presence of too much ambient AoE in in tanks' kits. Zac's ult was guilty of this since after the intial knockup, it just became a bunch of ambient damage in it of itself, as well as enabling more W casts. Whether or not his new ult is the right direction, idk, but that was at least their reasoning behind it.

Not really. If anything, the E could use some changes.

New Zac ult is godlike.

Git gud.

I don't even understand why they change completely functional champs and waste resources on them. Meanwhile we have LeeSin Ahri Fizz Heimerdinger Nidalee Nunu Ryze Shaco Tryndamere Yasuo

Has Riot said anything about the Zac changes after the fact? I want to know if there is any possibility that it will be reverted.

I never thought I'd quit LoL, but this pushed me over the edge. Heroes of the Swarm is pretty awesome so I'll be there until Zac gets fixed.

A like and dislike the new changes Although the idea of being able to become cc immune and abduct the enemy team is nice, as it works well with champions like Anivia since he can full them into a full charged Glacial Storm, I just feel like without the bouncing and knockup it is an empty ability

I don't like his new Q because it makes his ganks in solo lane really bad.

They could buff his Q slow directly, or make it a less powerful slow that lasts longer, OR make it so that the Q slow is more effective when only applied on 1 target than just multiple targets.

And his R could get some tweaking as well.

Riot should have some time to nerf/buff champs after their update, before deciding whether or not to revert they're rework.

When you get things like Kog and Malz that don't seem to work out for a pretty long time, a revert would be fine.

I know this only asks for a ult revert, but there have also been a couple of threads asking to undo Zac's rework in its entirety.

His new ult is so unbelievably unreliable that in most cases you're better just not using it. Ever.

ModJango Mage5/7/2017, 9:12:58 AM1 votes

Malzahar Hey dude, iv been waiting in the revert que for quite sometime now, wait until its your turn to get reverted!

NineTailedMystic5/7/2017, 2:05:50 PM1 votes

Sure, if they neuter the damage on it.

Eunson5/7/2017, 5:54:14 PM1 votes

Yeah, not enjoying the new Zac. I can see it being strong but it's not the same champ I loved and was my go to. :(

breakordoom4445/7/2017, 7:41:36 PM1 votes

but it makes him a good meme

Synthetic Slayer5/8/2017, 3:50:05 AM1 votes

I can see the general consensus is that the new ult sucks. Why doesnt riot post and tell us why they ruined another champion.

Profirix5/8/2017, 3:57:28 PM1 votes

The real problem with his new ultimate is three-fold:

  1. It takes a significant amount of time to charge for such a short displacement distance. Why is the distance he can carry champions so gosh darn short?

  2. It is far too easy to actually whiff the ultimate because the hitbox seems a little off. Most enemy champions can easily walk out of Zac's new R, before he can recast it, even with the slow.

  3. This displacement serves very little purpose other than to get your carries killed. This ability is best used as an anti-tank displacement, rather than a gank and fetch, given how short the range is. It is at odds with his incredible engagement range on E. At the very least they need to increase the displacement range two-fold to give it some semblance of a 'fetch' mechanic. Otherwise, I have to sit on my carries, peel, and not engage the back line just to wait for their front line to attack my back line so I can slingshot them away.
