What if every skill had the same cooldown regardless of level?
Title. I've been wondering what the game would be like if your Q had the same cooldown whether you've put 5 points into it or just one. The main purpose of this change would be to reduce snowballing. Currently, the winning team has the following advantages when they've been fed:
-More damage -More survivability -Shorter cooldowns -Longer durations and stronger effects on many buffs, debuffs and CC abilities -More map control -More items
Giving every ability the same cooldown regardless of level would remove one of these advantages. Having your ultimate ready sooner, being able to poke more frequently, being able to cast your abilities more often during teamfights... the cooldown advantage is pretty significant, in my opinion. Of course, implementing this change this would require a pretty extensive rebalance of the game (so it's probably too much work for Riot), but I think it would give the losing team a better shot at making a comeback, and I think this would be less irritating than mechanics like the Bounty system that actively punish you for gaining a lead.
And just to be clear, I don't really have a problem with having Cooldown Reduction on items. I just think it might be healthier for the game if the baseline cooldowns on your abilities stayed the same regardless of your level.
