This is something that was said on LCK this morning by monte cristo. I personally do not care for the little blue guy, it dosen't matter to me what happens. But when it's said he is gonna get compensation buffs, and it's that blatantly obvious that it's a nerf.... There is an issue beyond the specific champion there.

In other news, after these "compensation buffs" for veig's "compensation" he will now comfortably shift over from single-target burst mage to a more homogenized poke-mage-with-some-burst role.
He isn't gutted. Stop QQing. They finally made a way to outplay his stun. His Q, with the correct positioning can now farm 2 creeps at once and can now be used as a harass tool while getting cs at the same time. The reason Montecristo said that was because Veigar was being played as a 100% pick ban rate support in OGN, but now that they changed the stun, there's outplay potential and actually requires timing and skill to land it. I await my downvote from Veigar mains and the circle jerkers who always cry about champs being gutted, but find out they're still strong af the next month.
What happened to veigar is honestly worse than what happened to olaf.

It took years for olaf to become viable again too, and to make it worse, This was specifically supposed to be a BUFF.

practice and paper are very different
.75 seconds sounds pretty miniscule but once you see that tell once, there's just no getting hit by that stun
a good buff would be to maybe fatten the stun inward a touch so that a well-placed Dark Matter becomes far more difficult to dodge within the trap-- that way you either avoid stun inside and get shot, or you make the jump to get out and possibly get caught out
champs with hard mobility need not apply, we're not talking about you big fat nerd losers and we never will, go find some balance to skew
