How is Aftershock a keystone?

Like..Remember when crying about bruisers and conqueror was a thing? Like conqueror gave you 20 ad or smthng thats so broken! Look at this maokai who just got 100 Extra armor at level 1 for landing a point and click cc. Dab on them haters amirite. A burst of defensive stats whats this a reverse assasinatoin? like seriously after the 'assasin rework' aka cya assasins get dabbed on rework. That was so miserable riot reverted 2 of them as i remember.Riot introduces this keystone that makes your life as an assasin player a living hell. Am i supposed to get conqueror on talon to deal with this bs. Its actually bs, tweak the numbers please its actually too much why is none talking about this? Like if i can deal with this id love to know how. Excluding the alt f4 obviously.

Then don't throw all your abilities on them, chances are youre already cc`d for atleast half of the aftershock duration so its not that bad to deal with in terms of dueling.

it has a 35 sec cd so typically its only up 1 time per fight. and you cant control when it procs only if you cc a enemy. maokai's whole kit procs it so he cant use it efficiently. unlike damage keystones. like conqueror which gives AD and true damage. which wait for it... ignore the bonus armor maokai gets from aftershock. and if you are melee you can pretty much have conqueror up all the time.
