We need to force supports to build to their role and their role only

Riot, you need to make the game so that when it comes to role of support, that players actually build to their accumulative role. i main support and i take the role very seriously, and it bothers me that people don't build to help do with what they are meant to do. it would also teach people how to support and how to maintain the support for rest of the team. i'm tired of seeing supporters just build straight damage and not actually taking the initiative to actually support. Also could you make it so their isn't a limit to wards and are able to buy wards in the store again?

I'd rather not be a ward-bot again, thanks. Just the same as people can take a Yasuo or a Yi to be the team's main AD carry and make it work with some coordination, Supports have every right to build straight damage, use cheap ass combos to nail kills or perform obnoxious shenanigans to distract the enemy team.

Your definition of 'support' seems to be a damage-impotent ward-bot who can't stand on his own for two seconds without being destroyed, but makes it's presence worth somehow by using Redemption/Locket/Mikael's repeatedly.

My definition of 'support' is to AP scale my Sona so goddamn much she becomes a massive damage threat, a powerful healer, and an MS goddess. Who also happens to be amazing at helping out her team because her scalings are beautiful.

A lot of people disagree with both versions, and that's fine. Might not want to push your vision of the game on other people though. Earns you downvotes.

Support is just a person who's supposed to function on non-traditional income source as there are only 4 while team has 5 people. That's it.

The rule is always simple: if it works, then it will do.

You don't just go around shoving your interpretation and agenda down people's throat; also remember this is half a team strategy game, what good will this kind of design do? Get over it.

I agree on the ward limit, but I very much disagree on restricting item builds.

i'll build damage if i see fit....whether that's right or not can depend on the situation.....i tend to flex my build depending on what the team needs at the time. there is no guaranteed best way to support. My best games of support are with those that actual communicate with me a.k.a the guys that i tend to play with on a weekly basis. we may not always have the best builds but the fact that we can do a double support bot or 2 tanks bot for shiggles is half the fun for us. we actually started getting good at taking champs out of the normal route. now sadly i had to go back to the normal routine of just support as his happy self went to college.

just build what you think you need and if you have a suggestion say hey this item would work better.....insults don't work and tend to cause them to leave.

May the stars guide you

If you are going to become one of those people that say supports need to build for their support. You do a very bad job of it in your match history. But then again it's one of those Obey what I say but ignore what I do.
