So with the new rune shield bash, how does it work for characters that have a passive shield, such as Rakan or Malphite.

  1. Does it only activate once per that passive shield?
  2. If they use the rune, will it be refreshed if they gain a new shield even without the passive one breaking?
  3. Does it apply to all shields, or only physical ones (do MR shields count like Galio or Morgana)?

I asked this same question, and I believe these are the answers:

  1. Once per shield per activation. If your passive shield breaks and reactivates, you get the bonus again.
  2. Yes. It is once per new shield application.
  3. All shields that actually provide hit point shielding. So Morgana / Galio yes, Kayle ultimate probably not.

wonder what happens if you chase somebody down with bt and/or overheal and keep hitting them while getting new shields every auto
