An honest question about the Crystalline Bracer...

How come the crystalline bracer doesn't build into an Aegis of the Legion? It builds out of a ruby crystal and rejuvenation beads , as does the bracer. Instead having the Aegis be built out of three items, I think that it may be better to have an intermediary item that builds into Aegis. Since I build this item 99% of the time playing as support, I find myself having to waste 3 inventory slots for the components if I can't just get it straight away. If anyone remembers the old Emblem of Valor, I used to rush it first as an intermediary before getting an Aegis. This is just an opinion I have. Thoughts?

TL:DR, instead of + + = , make it + = to add a solid intermediary item if you can't afford to outright buy an Aegis.

Completely agree with this. Honestly, I think the fact that Aegis kept its current recipe is just an oversight, and not a deliberate decision. This change would make perfect sense, and would allow tanks and supports to build much more naturally into the item instead of having to use up a ton of unnecessary item slots.

You guys are not right. This is intentional. IDK if anyone remembers back in S2, but basically back in S2 everyone went support items because support items were so efficient.

So, riot is combating this. You will notice a lot of support items have really shitty recipes. This is to make them seem appealing mostly to supports, as people with more money don't wanna have to waste that much space. to get an item. It makes the item appealing to poor supports, to which item slots is less of an issue, but not appealing to bruisers, to which money is less important but slots are.

Crystalline Bracer need to stay in Aegis and Banshee too. This item need more build paths, because its a good laner item that can rush into some good later, depends on how the game change.

Aegis:

item 3105 : item 3801 + item 1033

Banshee:

item 3102 : item 3211 + item 3801

We can't have tank items that work well, you fool! Every tank item either has to build out of small worthless highly stat inefficient items or big expensive ones.

Because Riot doesn't know how to make item recipes.

Why does Warden's Mail build out of two cloth armors instead of a chain vest, when cloth armor builds INTO chain vest? Why do I need 3 inventory slots for my Randuins components if I don't have enough for the giant's belt + warden's mail yet?

Why does iceborn gauntlet build out of sheen and glacial shroud with no other armor items in the recipe? Glacial shroud gives almost no armor, and sheen gives zero armor... And iceborn gauntlet, when completed, is an expensive high armor tank item. They could even make it build out of glacial shroud, chain vest, and sheen, with a recipe cost of zero, and all the stats would work out without increasing the cost of the item, and you could prioritize what you actually need (armor? chain vest first. CDR/mana? glacial first. damage? sheen first). If stats/costs ever changed, and the recipe didn't work anymore, they could simply remove the chain vest and replace it with a cloth armor, and it would STILL be better than the current IBG recipe, which gives basically zero armor until fully completed.

I could probably list some more if I really tried. Don't get your hopes up when it comes to your Aegis. Riot won't fix it, no matter how many upvotes you get.

Well, wouldnt this mess up the teirs of items? As now Locket of Iron Solari would technically be 4th tier? Im not sure the importance of that but i think it has something to do with it.

it might be so that bracer doesn't build into anything, therefor not always a goto item for bruisers or tanks.

The imaginary doesn't even make sense in most cases for builds either.

Example: Why does two item 1042 + item 1043 = item 3085 .. This is like two sword objects plus a bow become another bow? wtf?

or even the whole item 3190 build. It's a Crystal, plus a bead, plus a cloak make a shield and then the shield becomes another shield? what?...Riot please make sense.
