Talon interrupting channels?

As a disclaimer, I am actually of the opinion that removing Talon's silence was a decent nerf. I also, however, think that the skill leaves something to be desired. I feel that it would be good to make it interrupt channels, in the vein of Kassidin's Q. That way there is still retaliation, but it still represents a signifigant change in the action, as well as giving incentive to wait for the best moment to go in, and help delete those pesky Kats, Malzahars, etc.

P.S. I am not actually a Talon player, so feedback from those who are would be much appreciated.

"Disrupts channels" is the most half-assed, panzy way of going "we know you liked this old functionality but look you get this little goodie instead!" It's insulting and removing Talon's silence was ridiculous. Kass and LB having their silences removed made sense. Their silences were on their primary harassment abilities, and targeted harassment should not also counter harassment. That's just bad design. But Talon's silence was on a damage-less engagement tool and could be easily punished by simply having a buddy nearby to peel him off. He needed that to perform his burst combo, which (and I know this will blow some people's minds) is what assassins are all about.

If Riot has this big or a problem with assassins actually assassinating targets, they need to just remove them all together. They obviously don't feel that promoting teamwork to deal with assassins is a viable tactic, might as well just make everyone bruisers so we can have five identical rocks grinding against each other for 40 minutes. Riveting.

Im not really a Talon player but my friend is a Talon main and he was really upset with the changes. He agrees the silence nerf was reasonable but the replacement really ruins Talons laning capabilities. There are two problems with Talon not having his silence 1) people will just dash or flash away instantly and then turn on Talon since his cool downs are too long to immediately reengage, and 2) channeled abilities such as Katarina's, Talon will no longer counter them and thus those champs will now destroy Talon in lane and push him out of his spot.

Im not sure why they went with a slow when he already has one, i think a snare of sorts would have been better replacement. At least we can still CC him even if he jumps to you, the least they could have done was give him an interrupting channels ability in addition to the slow.

I'm a talon player. but i can understand how his victims feel when he silences them. But his kit (has only one blink to engage unlike zed/kassadin/Leblanc) REQUIRES a silence. They want to remove it? Then change his kit so that he wont need a silence.

Lets compare a situation when you go to kill an enemy ezreal with different assassin champs:

When a zed ults and his enemy ezreal blinks away then zed can still W in or throw a shuriken or both. and if something goes wrong (enemy jungler appears) he can Ult back to his first shadow.

When Leblanc W's in and the enemy Ezreal blinks away she can recast W with her ulti. she can W back if something goes wrong. she also has a snare.

When Kassadin Ults in and the enemy ezreal blinks away kassadin can just turn back. He just wasted a 5 second cooldown vs ezreals 15 second (not sure) so he can reengage later.

When Fizz Q's in and the enemy Ezreal blinks away He can just E. he cant go back like zed but he has a zonyas so he can cast everything anytime he wants. actually all ap assassins can do that which i think is what makes zonyas a broken item IMO. not as a defensive item but as an offensive one. But thats a different topic.

When Talon E's in (without silence) and the enemy Ezreal blinks away the only thing he can do is use ulty to chase.Using ult for a full hp target is not something you should do. And if something goes wrong he CANT back off nor zonyas. also using R to chase is generally worse than blinking like zed can with his W.

So as you can see a Talon with his current kit cant do anything without a silence. If they make his E have two charges for example then its ok.

It would be nice, but it wouldnt address talons issues. The problem is that the silence is what kept talon alive when his ult was on cooldown. Now he is a sitting duck every time its gone., and so he has to stay away from everyone

Honestly...a half second root or stun would have been a lot better than the stupid slow.
