Can I, and if I do can, how do I disable scrolling with my middle mouse button?

I really feel like it's weird that you cannot remove the ability to scroll in nor out with my middle mouse button. I need to use the middle mouse button as a keybind for my first item in my inventory, but I always end up scrolling a bit when I do. This kinda makes me mad that you cannot rebind the keys needed to scroll, and im wondering if there is a hotfix for this, or if there is something that I can do to fix this.
