Just watched the latest beyond the rift and Meddler mentioned that he believes that they have pushed the game too much into being teamwork reliant. Now I don't have a problem with changing the game to allow for greater individual advantages, or to allow people to utilize them better, but implementation of this rests on a razor's edge.

       To cut to the chase, allowing solo laners to say, be able to accrue greater xp leads on their opposing laners, would not be good on its own, as this would simultainously add onto the snowball factor which is already very prevalent in the current solo queue environment. To compensate for this turtling would need to be buffed, which would be best implemented through buffs to the tier 2 and inhib turrets. An issue from this would seem to be that this decreases activity in pro games after the first line of turrets go down, but with the buffs to objectives it instead forces teams to fight around those objectives and with the nerf to vision it requires them to either take more risks, looking for picks or opprotunities to get ahead, or instalose/coinflip over objectives, since they would be even more nessecary to win the game in competetive. But now that solo laners can snowball more, without snowball being crazier in solo queue, and pro play either actually getting more tense or at least going even in excitement, what other issues could arrive? Well, what about comebacks in solo queue? Wouldn't you get punished for picking an early game champ if you don't snowball your lane? Since turtling will leave you with diminishing returns? Well, that is the healthy result for picking for early game and not winning in the early game. You'll still have the ability to win the game when behind on an early game comp, but you have to play to the strengths of your team comp, and especially away from the enemies' strengths. Which requires cooperation and teamwork, but to the appropriate amount, since you have already not done what you could have by not winning the early game on an early game champ. 

TL;DR To help solo carrying without pushing snowball in solo queue and making competitive more boring, let solo laners get further ahead in xp, especially early on, and buff inner and inhib turrets to help turtling. Recent changes to objectives and vision fix the issue in pro play once these changes would go through, as if teams were to play too passive they would auto-lose(or close to it).
