about armor

so this lux had 58 ad. she did one basic on me that dealt exact 58 dmg so i died. heres the thing i had 24 armor which means i take 20% reduced dmg from physical dmg. so she should have dealt around 47 dmg to me. please explain how that works or i will assume it as a bug
