Rito what are you doing to my Rengar :c I'm so anxious, please give me updates

Well, they've talked about what their goal is for the "Big Four" assassins they're reworking. Rengar was the second one they covered. The post is here: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/hYn5EO3E-assassin-roster-update-rengar-direction However, if you're too lazy to go read the full thing, the biggest things are that he will A) have more reasonable counterplay and outplay potential added to Thrill of the Hunt for both the helpless ADC being murdered by the kitty and the kitty himself that forces Rengar to be more cunning about things, rather than just brute forcing it. B) new spells/significant changes to existing spells. Theorycrafting, I expect his Q to change a reasonable amount, again with this theme of being more cunning and less brute force. C) Changes to the Ferocity system. It will now be easier to stack up in fights, but he will have to stack it up mid-fight. I'll expect this to change to need 2 Ferocity stacks to get an empowered ability, but they fall off if he doesn't use them after a certain amount of time. D) Changes to the Bonetooth Necklace. Rengar should feel more like a hunter looking for trophies than an assassin looking for the easiest target to kill. Buffs will likely be more difficult to come by, but also more impactful and more obvious for the enemy team. E) Bug fixes. Lots and lots of bug fixes. Rengar is getting completely rebuilt in the coding, so he'll be a massive project for the team as a whole to tackle. Your success should depend on your skill, not whether or not your E fires.

Some confirmed things in Rioter comments: they like his W and E, and they are unlikely to get large changes, His Q and ultimate, however, are likely to become completely new abilities. His bush jumping mechanic will remain the same or similar, but his Ferocity mechanic and Bonetooth Necklace are likely to receive massive changes. Thanks a bunch. I've been trying to follow up on what I can about his changes and I think I got the jist of what they thought was necessary to change and in what way they think it should be. From what I heard it was a little opposite from what you said. I had thought they said his w may be a completely new ability because as an assassin he shouldn't gain tank stats, and I could have swore I heard from somewhere that they said it was gonna be game changer i guess. Also that his q may not be changed too much, but might receive a nerf of some sort. I know they said that he's gonna be one of the champs to receive the new stealth mechanic. I just wanna know exactly what they're DOING to him haha, I know their plans, but they're not giving anything solid away :/
