IE suggestion
so, i'm not an ADC player. but i just watched scarra's patch rundown, which mentioned how IE basically screws ADCs who want to remain gold-efficient from getting 100% crit. the fact that this issue has existed since the crit rework last season is... concerning. so, let me propose a solution:
crit chance in excess of 100% is instead added to the bonus true damage IE provides. i would personally do it so that every 10% extra gives an additional 5% bonus true damage, so that it isn't possible to get over 100% true damage. you could also just have it convert excess crit chance into bonus AD, but that could lead to jhin abusing it.
i'd love to see feedback from ADC players on this suggestion, and if they'd think it would help. it's my least played role by a long shot, so i really do need the expertise.
SOME MATH:
with all four zeal items and an additional zeal, you reach 140% crit. with I.E.'s doubling passive, that becomes 280% 280 - 100 = 180 excess crit chance. every 10% excess crit gives 5% bonus true damage on crit, so 180/2 = 90% 90 + 10 (base bonus true damage) = 100% of critical strike damage is converted to true damage.
now that is a late-game build, folks.
