Nerf Gangplanks Barrels

Gangplanks barrels have such disgusting damage and with how many champs that you can ban you cant ban everyone i get that but late game GP is always the same annoying unstoppable menace. he gets tri-force and then he just barrels you constantly with the extremely low cool down. my suggestion is instead of changing him drastically change his barrel damage to a set amount of damage with an ad scaling, and with the armor de-buff and slow that it applies it can still be a very useful team play option but with out being completely broken since right now it can deal all the damage that his q deals too a whole team without any even damage distribution like if his barrel deals 1000 damage and hits all 5 champs every champ is only damaged 200. i mean even ziggs has a cast time on his ultimate so it is dodge-able but his barrels explode instantly with allowing no room for error and i have to compare his barrel ability to a ultimate... i think that is broken since he can deal so much damage so quickly as it is. he is a late game champ and there is very few ways to shut him down and prevent it. i think making him actually require skill would be great cause he even has a global ultimate that can deal a lot of damage as well

mate, the cd is only low after level 13. It's called a power spike.

It's not as if he can simply point and click u like a syndra ulti to death. The barrels are destructible, require set up and fast reaction time to properly land. on top of that, his build is really fucking expensive.

Try killing him before his power spike, they nerfed his early game incrementally in the previous 19 patches for a reason.

Actually, while the barrel itself instantaneously explodes once hit, the Q and firepowder line that connects multiple barrels both have cast/animation times. That's the whole reason the triple barrel combo is possible in the first place.

Getting a triple barrel off is quite difficult, and it also exhausts all of his resources for the next several seconds. Also in lategame, setting up barrels in the first place is fairly difficult because there's usually always at least 2 ranged on a team that can easily pop them first.

Also, I get his barrels hurt, but it's the same as just about any other lategame-scaling hypercarry. A comparable idea would be Brand setting off 3 abilities to get his explosion-ignite passive. Both he and GP need to set-up and use a good bit of their kit up to achieve the end result in the first place, and both are avoidable, but both also will continually hit harder as the game drags on.

His barrels are fine at the moment. The bigger issue is his Bandit interaction on Q where he can just shoot people for gold in early and instantly decimate waves later for mass gold later with his looting mechanism that lets him make up the gold difference too easily.

Good points though. Good job on being civil and actually somewhat logical/reasonable instead of just whining/crying! +1 in feeling, although I disagree with nerfing the barrels.

The barrel mechanic is obscenely binary. Sometimes you fight Gangplanks who are always landing instantaneous barrel detonations off surprise bush barrels. Sometimes you're just free farming barrels off of a GP who can't get the gimmick.

The former is bullshit, almost to the point of being uncounterable. The latter is also bullshit, but in the sense that you have essentially removed one of Gangplank's skills by virtue of having more range and lower cast times than he.
