knowing how each champ works wins. Been playin' heimer in normals and wow. No one has the slightest clue how to play as a team. Set turret trap.. team doesn't lure them into it... gets slaughtered because they didn't take advantage of the free kills turrets will give them. Simple things like knowing that heim's turrets aren't just cosmetic or that X champ is going to stun them soon so why the F are you running away instead of getting a free kill.

The actual way to win games is to destroy the enemy nexus. It's really that simple. It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you achieve that goal. The key is figuring out how to do it.

Stacks win games.
Wombo combos win games. It doesn't matter how bad or toxic people are 90% of the time if you can slam a team with a Wukong, Lissandra, Yasuo ults, and Annie's tibbers stun in team fights or something similar.
Unfortunately, that still requires you to depend on teammates, which can be a bad time, but this is a team game.
The team with the better bot lane wins, simple.
Against all odds as in your team can't win teamfights and won't ward? Play a good duelist and split-push one lane for eternity. If they have to send 2 people after you the rest of your team has a 3v4 in their favor. That's the best benefit one member can give as far as strategy goes.
And warding. Warding helps a shit ton.
