Is the tribunal even coming back? Should it?

Title. Last thing said about the Tribunal was a post written by Lyte over 9 months ago. I'm guessing it isn't anytime soon. Either way should it even come back? In the same regard I feel like rito is doing a pretty good job at keeping meanies at bay

I find it very annoying that their automated system punishes people who don't need to be punished, but when someone tells me to "drink bleach" 20 times in a game, they don't even have a chat restriction.

today I got a 75 game chat ban even though I am positive in nearly 100% of my games. on the same day that I got this chat ban, I got rewarded by riot and got a 4 game ip boost, what type of system punishes and rewards users at the same time? I rarely talk in my games unless it's to respond to other users or to have good communication during a game and according to riot this should be punished.

Only allow players with good record of positive play to participate in the tribunal. Make it something people aspire to be. Like a banner, people will behave if they can be part of the solution.

He's actually been talking about it a lot the last couple months. On Reddit. Because apparently that's the best place for a game company to communicate with its community. /sarcasm

It's coming back. Still nothing on when but apparently its "sooner than you'd think"

I'm just curious to see this new reform cards in action.

I think so. Right now their automated system is putting out too many punishments IMO. And it's not just me. Most of my friends who aren't toxic get put on chat restriction after one bad game out of 100 where they got ticked off. If tribunal came back then the punishments given out would be for those who deserve them.

I think the Tribunal was a really innovative system, to be honest. The games I've played have never bothered, just did all the reports and punishments automatically. I think making players actively involved in maintaining the community was a fantastic idea, and I'd be sad if they took away that part.

I was actually feeling part of this community by actively looking at the tribunal and decided if the reported person was toxic /troll or not.

I want this guy banned so badly. Lifebidder on NA. Went lucian mid told us to trust us and said he knows his shit. Got first blood which was all good then continue to fed and blamed the enemy for gagnks. Then proceeded to bandwagon the jgler on flamming me the supp for "bad" positioning because he didnt want to get the blame and made me the scapegoat. I have pcitures to prove their toxicity and i want them to be punished in any way possible. Please make this happen for me.

I enjoyed being a Tribunal member, and I would like to see the system return. If it needs to be upgraded to meet higher standards, that's fine. I liked the guidelines Riot provided to the Tribunal members, it made the job that much better even though it still went through a voting system.

In short, yes to the Tribunal and giving responsible players the right to vote on cases.
