I really don't wish to see it disabled. I mean you could just replace Blind Pick with the new champion select and leave team builder alone?

Team builder allows me to CHOOSE the EXACT role and champion I want to play. Not risk 50/50 like in the new champion select. What if I only want top? Or I only want mid?

They bring up in the news post saying waiting times are too long, because of all the choosing and picking and all those stuff. TBH, I don't mind waiting for it. We could just have two different modes just like TB and Blind, I really don't get why you guys must go ahead and remove it.

Another thing I want to bring up is how TB lets you choose the teammates. In blind, YOUR MATCHMAKING IS HORRIBLE. I get shitty teammates vs sometimes an all diamond team. With TB, at least I can search for teammates that are good to some extent or maybe has level 5 mastery in that champion they queued in teambuilder with.

Also, why must I risk them banning my champion in normals? What if that is the champion I want to play. FIX YOUR MATCHMAKING PLEASE. AND ALSO FIX THIS OTHER FEW PROBLEMS.


To sum it all up here's a comment left by user ThermoFusion on the post (about removal of TB):
Team builder allows me to play the champ/role I want. This new thing gives me 50/50 odds at best. This is not an improvement.

Team builder means that if the other players don't like the champ/role I've chosen, then they can choose to not play with me. This new thing means that if they don't like my champ preference they can choose to ban my champ instead and I will still be forced to play. This is not an improvement.

Team builder guarantees that I can play the game I want. This new thing means I will frequently be forced to play a game I don't want. This is not better at all.

It can already take multiple tries to get a good game: one with cooperative and fun teammates and without afk's, trolls or other dissapointing outcomes. If I have to try multiple times to get a game that I wanted, and then hope it turns out ok... With average games hitting 30 minutes or more; it will take hours with this new system to get a satifying game.
I don't have that much time. Me and my wife play League in what time we have because there's a lot we like about the game. But without team builder giving us some control over what sort of game we'll be filling our evening with, we just won't have time for this anymore.

If team builder is removed, we'll be going back to ARAM only.. or just finding a different game entirely.

Maybe I am not understanding new champ select correclty, but it sounds horrible.

Riot is forcing those of us who enjoy team builder into the new champ select just for the sake of load times in new champ select? NO. If I want to practice Kha'Zix jungle I want to practice Kha'Zix jungle. Team Builder is great.

Now I am going to have to select jungle as my primary, then set the secondary role to whatever the current most popular position is because it will be the position I am least likely to get, and just HOPE that when queue pops I have the role I actually want, and not the role I selected only because it gave me the highest chance of getting the role I actually wanted to play.

And what happens when a player deliberately lists the champion they want to play in a role only to troll by picking an entirely different one? In Team Builder, we're allowed the control to weed out obvious troll picks to better ensure a healthy gaming experience. With this new champion select, there are no guarantees. Just more punishments for players who choose to dodge a terrible team.

That's the one thing I love most about Team Builder. The option to say, No without being punished for it.

I am just so unbelievably pissed at riot right now. They're sacrificing the ability to play as the champion and role combination you want for a tiny, miniscule decrease in queue times. I'm gonna want to try ryze jungle or something, and some troll on my team is gonna ban my champ and force me to either dodge or play out some waste of time game on a champ I'm not even working on mastery for.

If would be fine if they just changed the new teambuilder draft so you could leave at the screen where you indicate who you're going to play without penalty or losing your spot in the queue.

This way if people conplained about you wanting to playing an off meta champ you could find a different group. Or if you wanted to play a character and got the wrong role/team comp for it you could try again. Or if there were obvious trolls.

There will always be that issue of people looking for supports.

Teambuilder, Normals, Draft, unless I play support in my quad queues we wait an extra 10-20 minutes waiting for a support or risking that ONE guy in blind who trolls and goes support Warwick.

Wouldn't Team Builder be slower? Especially with any role that isn't Support and Jungler, since you are force to wait around for open games with that exact role needed. Where as with the new one you pick the two roles you want to play the most.

There is also the issue that if you are like a role that isn't popular and someone doesn't like the champion you picked, it means that they either boot you and go back to waiting for a long time, or take you. And on the flip side, if you are playing a heavily played role, it can mean you are being booted or leaving because of the comp and back to waiting forever.

I think Team Builder is awful because champions are preselected with zero context to what your team might pick and you are stuck basically window shopping for who knows how long if you are a picky player.

Also, you don't really have much control over who plans to AFK or troll for whatever reason. Some are rather obvious with their trolling if you look at their history. Others might not do it every game, so who knows.

Their match making system is honestly another thing on its own, so I won't really give an opinion on it.

I'm a team builder fanatic and I have no problem with the new replacement. I'm pretty sure it will be much better than we are expecting it to be.

Why are people getting so bent out of shape over this. Let's just try it and see how it goes. And this is coming from somebody who absolutely loves teambuilder. I don't even play other modes unless I play ranked on the rare occasion I feel like seeing if I can reach Diamond in 2 days lmao. Or ARAM when I'm drunk.

Also, to add, I'm sure people were complaining when teambuilder was announced for the first time. I wasn't there but I'm sure there were a bunch of people talking about how terrible this new game mode would be, just based on what I've observed with human behavior when it comes to change. People still grew to love it. I play TB almost exclusively and while I'm sorry to see it go, I'm willing to give this new champ select thing a fair chance. To disable TB for this says something. They believe in this as a fair replacement for a reason. Lets just see and then we can judge and criticize.

Lmao, the matchmaking in teambuilder is even worse man. Play a new champ get matched with noob cause of matchmaking adjustment for playing a new champ. Or the opposite, play a champ you play a lot and get matched with people far better than you should be.
