Don't bother playing ranked, you will just get players who haven't played in more than a month.

This is even in Platinum+... What is the point of resets when everyone is still a higher rank than they deserve?

But you can only check your own team in champion select through the web, not the enemy team. I wish that ended up being true in the games I did not dodge thinking the same thing.

The thing is, if it applies to your team, it applies to the other team too. Both teams are just as likely to get feeders, trolls, inters, and rusty players. People generally only notice when it's on their team, but chances are both teams have a feeder, it's just 1 is covered up by the winning team.

What resets? This is why I took a hiatus from league until now, bc the rank you earned from the final match of the previous season is taken away regardless of how much effort you put in.

Every season has had a soft or hard rank reset that brings you down to about 1 full tier in rank below your previous ELO, so your previous ELO is relevant. However, players that do not play often, sometimes even avoiding decay by playing just once a month, can cheat the system and stay in even platinum games without updating their knowledge of the game for the new season/patches. Unless they make it so ELO decays with rank, rapidly, and also after a shorter period such as 1 week, it is just too easy for players to cheat the ranked system... I would not even bring it up if it was less common, but even though this trend is exacerbated by the season start fiesta it will still continue on even later...
