Teammates should NOT be allowed to ban declared champions

What is the point of Declaring your champion? To politely and without typing out who you would like to play as, declare so to your team.

The most frustrating thing Ever is to have a teammate ban your declared champion. And give Any of the following excuses:

My bad, didn't see.

Ooops.

Win rate is too low.

Weird, play a normal champion.

You are MY support, You will play Sona and ONLY Sona, you will follow me and keep me alive and SAVE YOUR ULT TO PEEL FOR ME ONLY_, DO YOU UNDERSTAND, SLAVE?!? If you Do NOT, you will be BANNED__, me and my duo will convince Everyone you are TROLLING if you do not go along, Slave. YOU WILL GET 9 REPORTS AND BANNED. _

( Okay, maybe none have been That extreme, but as a support main, I have had people insist I play a single champion of Their choosing before. ...I don't appreciate that, that doesn't make the game any fun. And it Really Really tilts me when they ban my declared champion. To the point where if they do it in a toxic manner, I will respond with a smiley face, lock in Trundle, and run down Mid. Am I the ass? Do I care if I get a temp ban? Nah, I can play something else for a few days. I think THEY should get a temp ban for starting some toxic trash PRE-GAME! )

Yes, I am an AP Shaco Support main. I've played for several years, 6 seasons I believe. I'm not Pink Ward, but I know my way with the clown pretty good, I don't feed, I do ward, I'm always in mid to top damage of my team, I have excellent peel for my ADC by popping boxes down around them, and have finally broken out of Gold into Plat this season for the first time. Again- I'm not the best, and as a True solo player support, I try to leave the kills to the hard carries on my team, so it is a Slow process ranking up.

All I am suggesting here is this. **If you declare a champion to your team, they should not be allowed to ban it. ** When it happens, and if no one dodges the game- it starts off the match with some hard feelings between teammates, and that alone can bring a swift defeat. I know being a one-trick champion isn't favorable, and I am working on expanding my picks occasionally, and getting a couple different champions and play styles down to the level I'm at now... but if I'm only playing a game or two that day- I'll most likely want to play my favorite. So please, if we end up playing together, don't ban my declared champion. I am considerate- right now I'm banning Hecarim and Morgana a Lot... but if someone declares it- I wouldn't consider banning their declared champion.

if they dont want to play with it, they have just as much right to ban it as you to pick it. if you can only play 1 champ out of 1/140, then its pretty sad.

Idk. If it's OP in the meta, and you are last pick and don't want them to pick it early? I'd never ban someone's choice, personally, but some patches playing vs specific champs can be miserable, so I can understand why they might do it.

Or they're just being assholes. And if that's the case, just remember to report after! ~

If it's normals I understand, but ranked isn't the place for far off meta picks. And though you may be experienced with Shaco support, you can't expect your teammates to know that or want to take that gamble. Riot designed the ADC role to be dependent on teammates' peel, and playing in a game with no peel can be a miserable experience. Yeah, Shaco sup might cheese in lane, but what happens late game when the Irelia and Rengar are diving your ADC? It makes sense that they would not want to deal with a Shaco or Teemo support if you think about it. Their champs were not designed to function with a Shaco. If an ADC was locking in Garen or Nautilus I'm sure you'd have a problem too.

At the end of the day, yeah you can play whatever you want and they can ban whatever they want. To be honest, neither is right and compromise is the best way to ensure a healthy lane. Barring you to Sona is not okay, but expecting you to choose a champion in the realm of the already gigantic pool of supports is not unreasonable. Try to convince them that it works and what ADCs might synergize well with it, but if they're not comfortable, compromise and you both should pick something you can both agree on.

typical divided playerbase. :/
BronzeGoat- Shaco has peel IF your adc uses his boxes appropriately. If they don't- they deserve to stay in bronze. uNhoLeee- that's your opinion, fine. Hope you enjoy it when people ban your declared champ. I can play all 144 to varying degrees of success, but as someone who has chosen to "one trick" main a champion / role, that's what I try to aim to play each game I go into... when I get selected as my back up role- Top lane, I play a wider range of champions. If I want to play one champ 95% or more of the time, that's my choice, and it isn't pretty sad- that's Your opinion. I prefer master of one than a jack of all Any day of the week on my team. When I see mastery points prior to the game starting, I know who is going to be the most frustrating and best played. A 12k mastery support lulu vs a 900k mastery support shaco? I win every time.
