Why do we lose LP for loosing with AFK players?

Hello yesterday I played a game in ranked as Katarina and I was premade with 2 other people (our botlane). After 20 minutes our Rengar left the game because he said that he had to go. After this point the came turned in their favor and we couldn't fight them because we were only 4 people. And after 10 minutes they just pushed and we lost. I would like to ask riot why do we have to lose LP because someone leaves the game? Isn't the ranking system suppose to show me how good I am based on my performence in game? I know some poeple will say that they get punished but still why do we have to geet punished for other people's behavior. My solution is to keep the penalties for leaving but to remove LP loses for people who are not premade with the person who leaves the game. because not losing LP would allow premades to climb indefinitely.

IDK about lose NO lp but i would take into account when you are in series. If someone leaves on your last game in series/promos it has a chance if you are a high enough MMR to put you into the league even though you lost. AFK's are shit

It wont if they make it that you don't lose lp from someone that is not your friend.

You can still ask someone to leave if you're losing the game really poorly and some people would actually consider doing it. It just wouldn't work. The only thing you can do is play a lot as the % of it happening to you vs the enemy will even out.
