I personally believe that anything done to Riven to balance her out in any sort of way would have to come through a rework. so I have a few questions along with this opinion. :o Has anyone at Riot come by the same idea? While hoping for a response to this question- Have you guys thought about this already and have a Rioter working on it already in the background? If not, would you guys take a Riven rework into consideration?
Well I think that what she needs is her shield to be toned down.
I don't care about her damages but her stupid shield allows her to go full AD and tanking everything when well timed.
They will never touch Riven because she is far too popular for them to do so.
Riven is a champion that functions by exploiting "bugs", but those "bugs" are what kept her viable all these years, which also became Riven's main characteristic and selling point.
I honestly wish they just gave her some very slight changes to make her less annoying to play against as a good Riven can wipe the floor with pretty much anyone else if played properly, but the general playstyle she forces the enemies into adopting is really boring and she punishes you for every minion you take.
Riven needs to outplay herself in order to die, that's why the higher the elo you get, the more Rivens you see in the top lane.
