Had a Ranked Game with Two Toxic Players On My Team
So I was playing a Ranked Game the other night, something I do not do often as I like normals. Choose fill for the role and given support, my ADC quickly tells me to choose Leona. I was going to pick Blitz but he was actually banned so, whatever, I'll give her a go. ADC picks Draven and starts telling me who to target in the lane, which is good, always nice for botlane to be on the same page. Then we got into the game.
The Draven player pings to invade the enemy but our jungle Rengar didn't join us for whatever reason. Invade actually works and we catch and kill the enemy Thresh. I start to head over to blue buff to leash Rengar, Draven says no leash, he didn't join the invade. I try to get the Draven to help leash but he is against it. Then Draven sets up in brush on way into the lane for the enemy and says if I don't join him he'll run it in. Rengar says that if he doesn't get a leash he'll sit at the base. I have to choose. I choose Draven hoping the Rengar is bluffing and seeing more immediate danger from the actions of the Draven. Enemies don't even come through the brush but now the Rengar is angry.
First, he backs and sits in lane. Our botlane is going surprisingly well, but then I see Rengar walking down our lane on the minimap and prepare for the worst. He proceeded to then sit in the brush, jumping out to steal minions whenever he could but thankfully not just feeding. After a while, he actually isn't doing much because Draven axes so he finally goes back to the jungle but now the Draven is mad. Draven goes into a rant in all chat about how this Rengar is gonna lose his account and blah blah blah report blah blah blah.
Rengar stopped caring long ago about winning this game and just went for kills the rest of the game regardless of circumstances, fighting with Draven in all chat about who was more reported. Somehow our team managed to drag the game out to 40 plus minutes but we were never really gonna win, the hyper fed enemy Graves was just bad at teamplay. I think the only reason we didn't ever surrender was that Draven and Rengar were trying to spite each other as much as possible.
It was such a surreal and frustrating experience, where the whole game was ruined because two people wanted to throw temper tantrums and have everything their way. I've heard stories of these things before but this was the first time I experienced it in Ranked.
