An honest look at yasuo's windwall

There has been a lot of hate towards yasuo on the boards lately, and while I don't like the guy either I think the honest reason he is so annoying is his windwall. I don't mind that it blocks skill shots, its just the fact that he can block entire ultimates that makes it such a powerful ability. Here are all the ultimates that he can currently block:

Ashe Caitlyn Corki Draven Ezreal Gragas Graves Jinx Jhin Lucian Nami MissFortune Sejuani Poppy Sona Varus Twitch Syndra Veigar Ziggs Tristana Katarina

And that's not even considering some of the "semi-ultimates" (the ones that require multiple buttons) like: Heimerdinger Karma

And with every new champion they release the list of things he can block gets larger and larger. Now before we go further into his windwall lets take a look at a similar ability, Braum's Unbreakable.

Why do people hate windwall but don't mind unbreakable? Simple! While windwall and unbreakable block every skillshot the thing that makes one okay and one annoying to play against is the way that they block things.

Braum only blocks the first skillshot completely and the rest of the skillshots still damage braum and on top of that, he is forced to remain pointed in whatever direction he casted it in. This gives the ability some counterplay without making it useless.

Yasuo's windwall blocks an indefinite amount of skillshots and lets yasuo still use all of his abilities.

So how do we make it less annoying/give it some counterplay? Lets make his windwall break after taking 3/4/5 hits (Maybe turn up the amount of abilities he can block based on how leveled the ability is).

That way yasuo can still block abilities but it can be counterplayed by bursting it down before blowing your ultimate.

So, do you think this would make it less frustrating to face against? Let me know what you think in the comments.

The real problem with windwall is that its hitbox is larger than it looks.

I think it just needs to change the duration to something like 2/3/4/5.
All it feels like it should be able to do is counter a projectile burst. It doesn't need to be up for 4 seconds to do this.

You clearly have no idea of the power of unbreakable vs windwall.

The ability to move the wall is very powerful and since braum is tanky he doesn't care about the damage.

The real problem with Yasuo is that people refuse to learn how to play against him.

You are a great example. You showed Unbreakable as weak, completely ignoring the fact Braum with Unbreakable up can not only move it, but sports damage reduction as high as 90% even from AoE abilities that don't hit his shield. Conversely you've shown Windwall as OP, ignoring the fact it cannot be moved and that he gets 100% damage from abilities that ignore or outrange Windwall.

I main one of the champions you listed. That champion being Syndra. There used to a website showing specific matchup statistics for a player, if you could take a look at it, you'd realize that despite being a champion that he supposedly counters, I'm still at 80% winrate against him, with the remaining 15%+ my team being so bad that it wouldn't matter even if Yasuo was AFK.

Why? Because I have 3 other abilities and basic attacks, and Windwall only protects him for a fraction of it's duration, if he wants to continue fighting.

Frankly the only time I had any problem with Yasuo was when his Keystone of choice was Warlord, because you simply couldn't poke him through the ridiculous heal, unless you outright killed him.

Let me phrase it this way: I considered Yasuo to be trash-tier even when his "tank" build was "OP" and he had ~58% winrate.
