draft pick bans

As most players know, draft pick has a ban function that allows the last three players in queue to ban one champion each. This is all great, but why are they able to ban champions that their teammates already have selected? I've been trying to play the reworked Ryze for several days now, but I've only played two games with him, because in every other queue, SOMEONE BANS HIM, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HIM SELECTED. I understand that they might think an enemy player will choose him, but I am consistently in the first or second in line to lock in, so that shouldn't be a problem. So obviously, they are trolling. I feel that the ability to ban a teammates champion selection should be removed from draft pick, because there is no real benefit to having this as a function, and only encourages people to be asswipes (which we all know are all too common in league games as it is). Seriously, why should I have to suffer through a game where someone banned my first pick for no goddamn reason? Dodging a game gives you time penalties before you can play another game, so you just have to suffer through a game with a champion you didn't want to play if someone feels like they want to be a dick.
