It automatically shut down my computer, then took forever to update, while my team was forced into a 4v5. I got 20mins queue punishment afterwards.
This function is plain stupid created by Microsoft. Who would ever let the computer turns off itself without any notification in advanced?
I turned off automatic update afterwards. It shouldn't have been the default setting in all scenarios.

FHMarshy3 votesIt usually has a screen popping up at the bottom left corner. It would ask if you want to restart immediately or 10 minutes or something later. if you don't press postpone, it will just automatically restart lol

Sadly I saw nothing, probably because I was playing on full screen.
pE4CbxDPQO2 votesI have had this problem. It'll usually pop up in the bottom right, but when league is rolling it doesn't for some reason. Sorry about your misfortune. Computer games have a lot more problems than console. Welcome to the world.
Lost R2 votesThe reason it's the default is because Microsoft is moving forward with the idea from Vista onwards that 95% of all PC users are amoeba who know absolutely nothing about computers. I don't want to call myself an expert on computers (an expert to me would be able to understand windows/system32/x.dll programming stuff, and I know almost nothing about programming), but I know enough to get by without needing my hand held every step of the way.
But yeah, you should always go down the list when you start using a new computer, OS or you had to reinstall Windows for whatever reason and make sure all the possible settings are exactly what you want. Especially Windows update.

people's issues with mac though is that 2 different operating systems means 2 different sets of coding to fix
30562438_DEL1 votesi get Uber lag spikes from windows update, even when i think it's disabled. I can ususlly resolve it from the task manager, after the first one though.
