Ranked Placements

Okay so last season during placements I won 5 out of the 10, ended up being Silver 3, I was super happy with that. But then this season I do the exact same, 5 out of 10 were wins, and yet I get placed in Bronze V? Needless to say that made me really sad and kinda ticked off. I was hoping someone knows why this kinda thing happens?
