DUO Top?

Every now and then we have a duo top. They usually lose the game at lower elo because of throws, not because it doesn't work.

I usually main JG and, Double top isnt something easy to deal with, because if the two are coordinated enough , and early game, they could destroy your top laner and JG during ganks.

The mistake I see duo tops do: They finish their lane and just start roaming mid, letting the enemy top laner finally catch up on farm and they starve themselves of farm. In other cases while top lane dominates the mid or bot laner just keeps feeding, feeding feeding. I saw a midlaner feed our ahri 15 times in laning phase alone, UNINTENTIONALLY

If this mistake isn't repeated, couldn't Duo top be super viable?

the aforementioned problem is that most adc's if left alone are really negative because they are used to being "important" this leads to the ill feed if I don't get my support back mentality, even though about mid game they just let the support die anyway ^_^, but yes a duo top and lane swap will work if the team is ok with it from the beginning

You don't want to have a duo in top lane instead of a solo top and a jungler for the reason that you no longer have a jungler. Think of it this way: Top lane is a source of gold and exp, and the jungle is a separate source of gold and exp. If you have a solo top and a jungler, both players get a steady supply of gold and exp. On the other hand, if you have a duo top and no jungler, then you get two players who get starved of both gold and exp (since they have to share farm and split the exp), and you're wasting a source of income in the jungle. This is the sole reason a duo top is unpractical, not because of pressure or anything.

Sometimes you may see in very high level play (LCS) a strategy where a team places their duo bot lane into top lane. Although this is technically a "duo lane" in top lane, they still have a jungler, and their solo lane that used to be top is moved to the bot lane. Overall, you still get the income from all 3 lanes and the jungle.
