1: People are still godawful at this game, but still win because they get carried.

2: Games are won 80% of the time by the team that initiates fights first.

3: There will always be someone on your team farming a side lane, no matter what is happening on the map.

4: The first team to group as 5 wins most of the time.

5: 1/3 of the people are Boosted Silvers, !/3 actually belong in Plat, and 1/3 are Climbing to Diamond.

6: Playing high-burst/simple champs prevails.

7: You will either have no tanks or 3.

8: You will either stomp or get stomped. There are no close games.

9: You will never get your main role in Promos.

10: There will be 1 event, about 15 minutes in, that determines who will win that game.

What have you learned from playing in your respective ELOs? Comment Below.

I'm in Gold now, but what I learned from Silver is:

  1. Non-meta picks are always bad unless the lane opponent is a dumbass.
  2. The team with a tank always beats the team without a tank.
  3. If their respawns are disjointed, you can finish the game by forcing the Nexus and picking them off.

Victory is usually determined in champion select if any of the following conditions are true :

-Your team has no tank, and the enemy does.

-The enemy team has 3 or more "god tier" champions (read : graves top, ekko jungle, zed mid, alistar supp, etc) and your team does not

-2 or more teammates decide to use an extremely off-meta pick (veigar support, teemo mid, etc)

-The enemy team has hard engage, and you have no counter engage champions or hard engage champions to match

Well, that's plat for you. Seeing that I'm in B3, was B1, anyhow, and have a high MMR that puts me with golds and plats every other game, I don't see much of a difference besides warding and vision. I've went games without any deaths against platinum players who picked strong champs like Lee Sin and yadda yadda, so to me it doesn't seem much of a difference other than just a few tiers above bronze, but then again all tiers are nearly bronze when you compare it to korea. So of course I'm going to be able to beat higher tiers.

Staying on topic tho, I think the difference in bronze and plat is just warding and vision. Objectives are a hit or miss. I think communication in plat is a little better from playing with a lot of golds and plats on my team.

Also a lot of "off meta" picks that aren't viable for that lane.

I also hate split pushing with a passion cause it doesn't pan out like in lcs play where teams are communicating on voice. The split pusher continues while his team just stalls. They don't plan on engaging but acting the part while he split pushes, in solo que, and stuff, typically the team will try to engage or not stall well enough.

EDIT one last thing between the two divisions is the kill scores are lower in plat than in bronze.
