Season 6 Ranked Placements Problem

Okay so I know this has been going around but it doesn't actually seem like anything is happening. I know about all of the explanations about how it all works but honestly this is really not right.

So some say "Oh well if you finished in high elo last season you'll get placed lower because the system will think you can just climb up easily" and some also say "Oh its MMR it's all fine" well no. I know for a fact that something has changed and something is definitely wrong.

Last season I had 3 wins and 7 losses for my placements. This year, i just got put into Bronze V with placement scores of 9 wins all of which I had the mark of A+ or higher and 1 loss. I'm slightly concerned about this. Most will probably say that it's all correct and im just bad or nothing is wrong but there most definitely is. At this point im not even sure its possible to place anything higher than bronze. Ive seen all sorts of scenarios of people and I have not yet once seen anyone place higher than Bronze V. Im sure Riot will look into this because this is absolutely incorrect and when they do, maybe all of the people who did their placements get new placements? That seems to be the only fair option for this mishap

Anyway that seems to be a bug in my opinion but I don't know about anyone else. All i know is that Bronze V no matter what isn't normal and i'd like a redo when this is fixed.

What was your rank last season?

Any questions you may have regarding placements are likely answered somewhere in this thread:

Best of luck on the Rift mate!

When did you start playing rank games? Last season or the one before?

its not a bug its the way riot does placements.... they explain it all over the boards... disagree with it thats cool, but not understand it just means u have to read a lil more.... because it is explained..... once you want to go over how it sux or something im with ya and i will read that....

if you dont know where to start reading im with you because riot does not clarify it for reasons ..... but people talk about it a lot so... thats something

placements mean very little honestly, its all based on your mmr. your mmr was already low, and those 10 games didn't bring it up enough to go higher than bronze v, so thats where it put you. you could have won 10/10 games and still be put in B5 if your mmr was already low.

It usually depends on which elo or rank you were last season, This includes before the season ends. If you did ranked in pre s6, then ofc you would be placed in b5. But still it's odd because you went 9-1

If your mmr from last season was lets say 300, it means your starting mmr for this season starts at [300+ 1200 (base mmr)]/2= 750mmr.
