So for the next round of nerfs can we give her actual mana costs and reduce her mana regen?

Probably. Although soraka mains are going to claim that she got gutted when she sits at a nice 50% winrate.

She got gutted.

You NEED to max W to be useful now :'(

she did get gutted? she is trash now.

Marshbouy2 votes

She's 52% winrate with an 8% playrate. "gutted"

I do not think any champions mains complain about actual win rate of their champion but more about how enjoyable they are for them, and having to deal with permanent GW after 5th minute of game because any braindead ADC can rush and use executioner's calling does not create very interesting gameplay. Now we also have to deal with wtf W CD at early ranks so even the time before enemy buys execall is fucked now.

Marshbouy1 votes

So people can just complain about nerfs and scream "gutted" when their champion is more balanced then before becasue it's "frustrating" for them to work around?

Alesya3691 votes

The point is there are literally no work-arounds. She has absolutely no way to deal with GW after last ult nerfs and GW is super accessbile and super cheap after executioner's calling has been brought back. She can not do shit against GW now and after considering how much healing it cuts for how little effort (actually it takes no effort at all in execall's case) using it takes it is just ridicoulus. Imagine that all your damage was cut by 40% everytime you got hit by enemy ADC. That is what it feels to play as Soraka against execall.

And the W CD nerf... there is also no work around, it will force the AFK playstyle for Soraka, previously she allowed her ADC to trade aggressively and eventually all-in if enemy ignite was down, now it will just be pure afk.

yes. Every healing champions has to deal with this. Just because it makes soraka "feel bad" doesn't mean that she get's a get out of jail free call.

no. The CD nerf makes it so that she can actually LOSE a trade in the bot lane. Now she can't just spam heals early game, constantly be giving her ally AR/Mr buffs (keystone), healing them, and winning the trade EZ PZ.

Alesya3691 votes

There are no other healing champions in this game, GW is ALWAYS taken ONLY against Soraka, if you see someone buy execall or take ignite against Nami, Janna or Sona inform me about it please. Riot made sure to make every support either a long range CC bot with poor shield/heal or melee CC bot with extra CC and tankiness.

no. The CD nerf makes it so that she can actually LOSE a trade in the bot lane.

That is the point, one can lose a trade in just 2 ways, they can be forced to back off (that is when Soraka will just AFK for longer amount of time to heal everyone up cuz of higher W CD) or die (because her W CD is now shit). All they made is making her more passive and if she tries to go aggro early she will just lose.

Swain Aatrox Sona Illaoi Nami Ekko DrMundo Fiddlesticks Gragas Irelia Galio Nidalee Maokai Khazix Rengar DO YOU NEED ME TO LIST MORE HEALING CHAMPIONS?

So basically she has to play passively like every other support champion (With a few exceptions) becasue she can't spam heals all the time?

Alesya3691 votes

Almost entire Soraka's kit is JUST HEALING, that is why she gets completely fucked by GW, every other champion you listed here will LAUGH AT GW because they still either do shitton of damage/provide super strong buffs/have shitton of resistances and hp. Soraka can only cast E once every ~24-18 secs and tickle with Q where others will still be able to rape enemies with the damage they have and/or survive because they stack resistances to complement their sustain.

Also did you even read how much they heal (or check my spreadsheet)?

Nidalee heals 256,25 + 62,50% per 15 secs, Nami 277,5 + 45,00% (up to 477,99 + 77,51% if 2 targets are hit) per 15 secs, Sona 479,2 + 104,17% per 15 secs and Soraka heals for 1830 + 600% per 15 secs WITHOUT ULT. DO YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE NOW? WHO THE FUCK TAKES GW AGAINST ANYONE ELSE THAN SORAKA AND THAT OCCASIONAL MUNDO/AA/SWAIN? NOONE, THEIR HEALS ARE SHIT, THEY ARE COMPLETELY FINE TO IGNORE AND ARE IGNORED BY EVERYONE.

every game has 5 winners and 5 losers... if every champ was played twice and won a game as well as lost a game, they would all be at 50% winrates.

If you think a winrate that breaks even is good, you are mistaken. If anything every champ should sit at 50% as the bench mark. There will always be the same number of winners as losers

Marshbouy1 votes

There's some complicated math that i don't understand that literally boils down to not every champion is played an equal amount. So TLDR, ur wrong.

Big Lincoln3 votes

can you nerf Janna first

AsphodelNext2 votes

A champion like Soraka that is both popular and easy to play can sit above 50% without needing nerfs. I think this round of nerfs hit her exactly enough; she's still playable, but can't just decide a game by maxing Q and winning bot lane.

Cloud2732 votes

She's still in the top 5 for best supports for sure, but I think right now we have bigger things to worry about. We should probably nerf Janna or Blitzcrank slightly before we do anything else to Soraka.

Gamer Girl Paige2 votes

Lol what? Of course she is, she is useless trash now but still isn't as trash as mordakeiser.

This is how i know you arent past gold 5.

They honestly should just rework her like they did ryze. Her kit is too one dimensional with very little thought process on how to execute her kit and makes her not only uninteresting (in my opinion even tho i have loved soraka since season 1) but doesnt allow for true champion mastery of demonstrating someone actually knows how to play her other then landing Q and not getting caught, which not getting caught should be universal. She has no unique challenges outside of taking as little damage as possible.

Ulquiorra9951 votes

She was great when she was originally reworked. When Q restored more HP per target hit and did more damage in the center it was actually rewarding to use properly. All Rito had to do to balance her was separate her self-sustain from ally sustain so she couldn't just max W and get the best of both. But nooooo, let's implement a shitload of changes that a.) remove a large part of skill requirement and interaction from her kit and b.) force her into being a W-maxing healbot which is not fun to pkay as or against.

Fashion Mage1 votes

I don't think you understand the concept of "balancing".

Alesya3691 votes

All they had to do was to rever wtf GW change at start of preseason... like who the fuck needed that? Every other healer simply sucks at healing and none of the other "healers" benefitted from that change at all, both in terms of win rates and actual gameplay.

U will never see Soraka in LCS after her nerf, she garbage.
