I am having a VERY hard time performing well with her. I understand her skills, but trades & wave clearing feels really bad even with Ravenous Hydra. Is there a trick or something most people don't know about playing Camille that makes her good in top lane?
Would be very appreciated - I want to learn her but I'm getting stomped with her.

Dont play Camille and rarely lane against her top lane but I believe the general flow of her combat is
Stun with dash, q, Hydra active, slow with her aoe and kite while you wait for your empowered q, q again and back off. There's no reason to stick around using your autos if your skills are on cooldown.
Her wave clear is objectively not very good though and she needs Hydra to clear at a decent speed unless you want to blow your mana
I don't play her, but here's a junglers perspective on camille top. She loses against almost all meta top laners in 1v1 trades, but her gap close and ult will mean a guaranteed easy gank at level 6 if she hasn't died to her lane opponent yet. Basically play back and take an L on your creep score while you wait for that and then hope the lead you get off that is enough to make you useful enough to take the tower and roam mid/bot.
