Just want a reminder Riot should update the practice tool when Runes Reforged launches

So that we can swap out runes on the fly. Like maybe you could even load into the game a blank slate and specifically build runes in the tool via a tab like the "spawn epic monsters" one.

I know it seems early to discuss such a thing but it feels like since we all wanted to change runes and masteries as a top feature, the perfect time to implement that would be when you're redesigning the entire runes and masteries right?

Agreed! Since the new runes are more essential and impctful, I can see this being very useful.

Comparing damage dealt with different mastery setup would be important.

I think this feature would entirely depend on if Riot can find an easy way to implement it, which would probably require a really clever hack of existing features (using the item shop as a UI, for example) plus a good bit of luck. Otherwise, I doubt that Riot would think it's worth the development time to make that feature from scratch. Because let's face it, most people would probably only use the feature once, to see what each rune does. Not exactly a big-ticket improvement to the game.

Still, it sounds like a decent idea, so I hope that they at least give it a shot.

Something tells me that with their spaghetti code, changing these major gameplay effecting runes while in a game is just not going to be possible. But I would love if it would happen.

Well one of the most requested practice tool features was to switch runes and masteries, except now they are changing them to be way simpler than they ever were. I just figured if you're already scrapping the entire old system and building something new from the ground up, why not branch that out into also improving tool that right now is pretty subpar in every aspect. Oh and when you swap runes, the tool could soft reset the game.

I was thinking theyd make a third tab just like the one to adjust game stats and one that spawns all drags and baron, but this one would allow you to create a runes page. Then you play through your 'game' until you wanna switch the page out, game resets, do it again bu with this new setup and compare.

I'm not saying it wont be tricky, but since riot is already making huge changes involving these, i just wanted to keep this thought in their minds.

There's something odd about reminding people to change something that doesn't exist yet. It's like finding out you're pregnant and putting a reminder on the calendar to get the kid a haircut.

Ive made various posts on this topic and even specifically mentioned it to meddler in one of his daily posts, so the title was more referring to the many reminders that this feature is already one of the most requested things, but its DEFINITELY not being added while old runes and masteries are here, so since next year they wont, I dont want riot going "oh man that would have been a GREAT Idea, but gosh now it's gonna take awhile cause insert reason probably related to balancing the game"

It's more like they announced we are pregnant and I just want the kid to be included in our gym whenever he is born instead of going into said gym for an hour in order to then leave for 10 minutes and change the kid. (which btw your child analogy is silly this is a feature on a tool not a person)
