i don't understand how a person that's played a lot of ranked games, (many games without ignoring all and many games with ignoring all) could come to the conclusion that ally team chat is healthy for your team. please everyone before writing a comment PLAY A RANKED GAME WITHOUT IGNORE ALL, AND PLAY A RANKED GAME WITH IGNORE ALL. ITS SO FRIGGING OBVIOUS WHICH IS BETTER THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS. i just lost a game where i ignored all early on the game just because i was in that mood, my team is doing well, at some point we start throwing a massive lead, i wonder whats going on with my team so i un-ignore all and see there all arguing with each other. so you may say everybody has the option to ignore all and thats enough, no because i think there is an incorrect attitude torwards ignoring all, like it will get you reported for refusing to communicate. honestly its such BS looking at the game from a mechanical perspective there isnt a single thing players cant coordinate without any chat

Disclaimer: I don't know if my opinion can apply here because I have not played a game using ignore all on my allies.

That being said if you do care to have my personal input and the reason I won't do it ----

I rarely see team mates rage. Maybe one in five games I'll have a player who is a prick win or lose, basically tilted, and generally speaking in this one game most people just don't reply to him. My typical games are either pretty quiet, with the occasional "gj" on a kill, or no talking in general for a losing game. but sometimes (I would say about as often as I get a toxic player) I have a hilarious team member who starts off really talkative in champ select and is a joy to play with and says some pretty funny shit.

So I hope you can see why in my personal case I don't intend to use the ignore all button. Perhaps i'm just lucky, but my one other friend that plays this has said the same thing about his games.

In addition: You can coordinate 99% of what you need to having everyone on ignore, so it's not a big issue. But there is a small advantage to NOT ignoring teammates right off the bat.

(example): Your jungler says he will be level two ganking your lane. If you don't have this knowledge, you could have either pushed the lane or not harassed the enemy champs hurting the gank potential. (Because the jungler would not ping until he is on his way, a good two minutes later) (Example): Youre in bot lane and your support asks to play aggressive or passive. You have him ignored and can't reply, this may make you less in sync with him, ultimately performing worse in lane (possibly).

I know these two examples aren't typically game changing, just small advantages. Which is why I stated earlier you can still coordinate pretty much everything still on ignore all.

Lastly, unless YOU'RE being a toxic player in addition to having ignored all, I don't think you would ever get reported for refusing to communicate. This scenario would be something like if you are split pushing top lane ALL game when it's clearly not working and you're losing your base but refuse to back and are ignoring the teams pings for help.
