Any chance of Riot Games adding more free runepages?

So started playing the game not long ago(During Worlds last year). I like the support role alot because of the utility it adds. But i would also like to go deeper into other roles. I feel the big limiter for me on which champions i can play is whether or not i have a decent runepage for that specific champion. As a new player i feel 6.3k IP for a single runepage is alot. In my opinion i think beginning with 5 free runepages would be fair since that would allow for a bigger varity of champions instead of just 2 (AD/AP)

5 feels like a bit much. Why buy more rune pages, when you have five? What could be nice, is a reduction of the cost for the first rune page you purchase, so its easier to acquire, but its still a reward for playing the game.

Although, Riot did say they are reworking runes, something that may pop up this year.

5 is a bit excessive in my opinion... 3 maybe would be good, but you should be ok with only 2 until you've gotten enough ip to get more (i.e. when they go on sale for 2 for 1). Though I understand the frustration of never feeliong like you have enough ip to get all the things you want for free when you start. Choosing a new champ over some runes or other stuff. But don't forget that they make money off rune pages too.

Tbh, runes are mainly for early game, and you can usually survive off those 2 rune pages no problem until you have the game knowledge and experience to delve deeper into the game. As a support main myself I mainly use 1 or 2 rune pages despite having 5. Tank and AP. I don't see much variance than that in early game cuz in my mind in early game you're trying to 1. not feed and/or 2. poke the hell out the enemy. And then you get the kills you position better than them on.

What kind of variety were you anticipating?

I'm just wondering what ever happened to those 2 for 1 sales. That was the only time I really committed IP into getting more pages.
