So I've always kind of wondered about this, but whats the big problem with ks'ing? I mean yeah it kinda sucks if somebody else comes and taps your kill but as long as the enemy team is dead and you're not who cares? I know the xp and gold rewards are helpful but you still get assist gold/xp. I guess what I'm really trying to say is that I feel like people make a bigger deal out of it than they need to, I highly doubt that C9 or Dig go "WOOOOWWWWW KS much shiphtur?!"

The big problem more is what they are expending to "steal" that kill in my eyes.

If I have a person with an ignite on them and they are ticking down to a sure death, blowing flash so that you can get in range to ult them to steal it isn't exactly a good play...

But if it is a case of a small, low cost ability, which lets them get a kill where they would have otherwise not even gotten an assist, then no problem at all in my eyes.

Even less considerable as a bad thing is if it just happens to land on someone as everyone did damage who it might not be optimal on due to luck. I mean, I am not expecting that Sunfire cape to get the kill onto me rather than my Draven, just luck in how the damage landed.

There's two situations with KSing that you have to worry about.

Taking a kill from a rager.

Some people don't understand the value of single kills. Sure they could be on a snowballing champion, but if they get an assist and free farm for a bit they should be able to get another kill from their xp advantage. If this is your situation it might be best to ignore them, depending on how detrimental they will be to your team if you do.

Taking many kills as a non-carry.

Most champions scale well with kills, and so getting kills will always be an advantage. That said you do not want a 9/0 tank or support while your carries only have assists. Having your kills focused on someone not designed to deal damage is actually a good way to throw an otherwise easy win. There are ways of getting around this of course, like having a carry who scales well on xp, or can make due with farm and assists, but all of this must be taken into consideration. Just keep in mind there is a reason there are two carries in a typical meta styled match, so make sure one does not get underfed in an attempt to feed the other.
