Used To Main Zed1 votesHere's my 2 cents. Alistar has fairly long cooldowns early on. While he builds CDR later on, having 12/13 seconds on your Q and W is a real killer. For example, once you use your Q and W really the only thing you have left is your autoattacks, discounting your E. So for somebody that has extremely long cooldowns and an ult that gives him DMG reduction, going 100% tank runes is a little counter productive. Consider putting some AD in your runes so that during your combo's down time you can actually do a little damage instead of walking around while your adc 1v2's.
And seeing as Ardent Censor is busted at the moment, have you considered going Stoneborne Pact and rushing that item? Seems like a pretty good combo with your CC and your passive heal.
Graceful Owl1 votesi disagree with stoneborn. CotC gives you early trade power. stoneborn gives 5% health and a really bad heal; also ardent doesnt really do enough on alistar imo. especially with the upcoming nerf next patch; its not like a janna shield every 5.5 seconds.
that is an interesting point on the AD marks though. i'll definitely try it prolly good into like a zyra ashe lane or something. make my all in stronger; i cant see myself walking up to the enemy AD though w/o combo, #kited. maybe good into like a blitz/-insert weak early game carry here-

The gold income from coin is far better than relic atm. Might mean less health in the short run but more gold over the entire game.
