Help on how to get an S on Lulu?

Just logged in and got my last token finally. I left a comment below on the game statistics if anyone is curious.

I just recently started playing again after a very long break and I am trying out this level 6 and level 7 masteries........ I am pretty new to the game I have only played for maybe like two or three months. I quit for about a year, and just started playing again last week.

Can someone give me a general idea of what I have to accomplish on Lulu as a support to get an S or higher? I have been spamming Lulu for three days now and I am going a bit nuts..... All I need is one more token on her to get her to 7 and I can move onto the next champion. My in game name is "Self Divine" if you want to look up my stats and tell me exactly what I am doing wrong.

I have a few others level 7 so far and they all have been fairly easy to get. I like to play support so I am only focusing on those champions.

If you want an S-rank, accumulate assists and CS while minimizing your deaths.

  • Redemption and Locket of the Iron Solari are great for farming assists during fights
  • Zz'rot Portal and Banner of Command are great for accumulating CS in the mid- and late-game (while pressuring side waves)
  • The build provides a significant amount of durability (heals, shields, health, resistances, CDR) to prevent unnecessary deaths.

It might not be the optimal strategy for winning the game (though it isn't necessarily a bad one either), but it should help you get your S-rank.

Side Note: I would probably recommend moving away from Hybrid Penetration runes if you are still using them. The change from Armor Penetration to Lethality has removed a lot of the reason you may take them (primarily, early-game harass).

I use Precision marks, armor seal , magic resist glyph, and AP quints. However since I main support, I play better than most in my elo even the smurfs. So I use different runes for different style of recommended game play.

As for my build I usually get the Redemption first for the semi global assist / heal / damage. I do not usually build a ZZ'rot on Lulu, but everything else I do. I do get Locket and Eye, other than those three things my build is very different.

I logged in to +1 this Been playing Lulu for a year, and am on lvl6, always a A or A+, even in bronze elo can't get a freaking S, but today I saw your advice, /mute all my team and went top with zzrot and banner of command, got 58 cs, and what do you know? My first 6 on lulu.... So happy!

I assume this is lulu support.

I suggest that you level up her shield and then use it just like you would Janna shield whenever your adc is in danger... but also whenever an ally is about to get a kill allowing you to stack up a ton of assists for very little work.

Don't die, you might have to let an ally die sometimes to achieve this but if you want to S someone has to make sacrifices.

ward ward ward ward ward.. including control wards... try to work out where the opponents have placed thier wards and kill them. they all count towards an S.

You could if you wanted try Lulu mid or lulu top then try to use farm to get an S I am not sure how the mastery system works out what role you are in.

thanks but in one of my games I went 4 / 1 / 15 and did not get an S. I keep my deaths down all the time, and focus on objectives and helping with those. Honestly I can't remember what I did to get the first two level 7 tokens on Lulu.

As far as wards I have place over 30 some games, and pinks some games I buy 10. Just doesn't seem to help at all. I have had a few challenger friends give me advice on ward and setting up objectives.

As far as actual game play, I max her shield first. I am running gold runes, ancient coin, and pickpocket for fast gold. With the higher than normal amount of gold income I buy "Redemption" first for that near global heal / damage to get assist outside of my lane.

I would like to think I am doing everything right and it is just a matter of my KDA not meeting a certain requirement at the end.

It might be an issue of top and mid Lulu messing with the mastery system. :/.. Which means you will have to steal some CS. Later in the game use your glitterlance to push a few waves. might be enough to push you over.

15 assists might be a little too low to get an S need to be pushing 30. Sometimes the game just ends too fast to get to 30 or the enemy top lane is feeding so you don't get enough kill participation.

I try to get 40+ per game that seem like the area for supports.

Yea game end really fast like that one where I had 15 assist. It was either 18 minutes or 23 minutes, can not remember which one it is. It is hard sometimes when you have an ADC that plays just to CS, so I can't get any assist. Since I main support I play better than most at my ELO so 1v2 is not a problem. However the jungle comes and I am not good enough to 1v3 yet.

comparatively speaking, that's terrible, unless it was a 20 minute game. you need close to 1 assist per minute.

You might not be using q enough for harass. Try starting frost queens and using q a lot

I like to play support even though I can do other positions. You can control the game better and setup the map and kinda guide you team to objectives sometimes without having to say anything.

need more cs, i know your support, but riot still wants you to put in some creep clear work.

KDA does matter at all. just kill participation, your were 73% maybe as support you need a most 80%

start to destroy more wards with control wards etc

but i'm going to assume alot of people say play an off role for an easier S grade.

Really? i thought it was just kill participation. or does it depend on the role, since he was support?

from what i've seen with posts about yasuo, jhin or zed not getting s+ rank with a 20/2/15 score.

the usually comment is, KDA doesn't matter. or at least not as much.

Since I setup objectives for the team........ and let them think they are calling the shots. I have pretty high KDA after laning phase, usually it is 100%. The problem is sometimes I have a very passive ADC that just likes to CS so end of game I have above about 60% KDA most the time.

Just logged in today played two games with Lulu and just got my last token. I increased my CS to 50+ and that seemed to do the trick. My KDA was not good that game. it was 2 / 5 / 27. My ward count was 44, destroyed 5, and control wards 6.

Now this is what boggles me. I was in a previous game where I had 3 / 0 / 31 with 47 CS. Wards were higher on that game too..... however I only got an A+ on that game.

Moving on to the next support champion while I grind more IP.
