Why is it that I que with one of my friends (He is B4, I am B1), and we get qued with THREE OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE UNRANKED....and then on the opposite team, they have an unranked, two bronze, a silver 5 and a silver 2?

How the hell is that even fair? I don't understand how the matchmaking works in this game, but it seems completely crappy, and unbalanced. Can someone please explain to me why I got put with a team of unranked against a team with higher rank? Not only that but my team was on purple side...so doesn't that mean we have a better MMR? I don't understand it and it's very frustrating.

Can someone please explain how it works and why?

Unranked people have to go somewhere, and the average skill level overall is around silver 4, so I imagine unrankeds are assumed to be around that area.

I'm assuming this is an unranked game. That is just what happens. There are a lot of smurfs and games differ from one another greatly. These games are just meant to be fun. Yes, it's annoying, but it doesn't move your rank up or down.

There isn't much of a difference between bronze and gold. Those are more indicators of how many ranked games you played over a tangible measurement of skill.

I wouldn't let the rank of someone intimidate you. Unless they're Diamond (when you're bronze) you should have a decent chance against them.

Also - you can stomp a game of equally matched opponents if they made the wrong mistakes. Just because someone snowballs out of control doesn't mean matchmaking failed. Those games happen, even against equally matched opponents.

I know it's meant to be fun. I usually DO have fun...but it's not AS fun when you get steamrolled without a chance to even do anything. lol
