Are low elos good at the game?
Objectively speaking of course.
I remember a thread here getting locked cause it was too mean to low elos, but in that thread OP was bashing them pretty hard.

Are illiterate people good at reading?
Tell me how exactly you define 'good' and I will try to answer you.
We are all bad at the game. Even diamond elo gets bashed by those in masters or challenger.
Define good.
Good at their champions? Good at macro and/or micro? Knowing how to play behind? Knowing how to end?
No. There's a reason they are in low elo and the reason is that they are not very good at the game. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, though. I mean you don't need to be supremely skilled at this game - or any other game for that matter - to enjoy playing it.
think of it a different way. about 90% of the people are gold or below. to get into the top diamonds or platinums or w/e you'd need to be one of the best if not the best players in the world, competing against people who make this their fulltime job.
Being low elo can stem from a number of different reasons. Sometimes it is because of lacking individual skill, but it can also just be a severe attitude problem or from not understanding how to play a team game. So overall they might not be great at the game, but they can possibly be very good at specific champions and stuff like that.
that and some people don't play a lot. climbing requires tonnes of devotion and some people just can't work that around a 9-5 and/or school schedule.
really it's kind of silly how play time is more important to ranks than "skill" or "game knowledge" is.

It really isn't.
There are players who've put thousands of hours into the game without being able to climb past Bronze or Silver.
There are players who've managed to climb to Platinum and Diamond in their first ranked season too.
Depends, you can climb with quantity over quality by playing thousands of ranked games. Some others hit Diamond in less than 800 ranked games played and a 65% win rate.
