Lux Lucent Singularity

I don't really think this mechanic is very good for gameplay health, but I think it would be fun to play iwth.

My idea is to change Lux's E, Lucent Singularity, from an AOE slow/damage to a prism that enhances her other abilities once they pass through it, similar to Jayce's Acceleration Gate. Seeing as how most of Lux's abilities are revolved around light, I believe it would make sense thematically.

E: Lucent Singularity Lux throws out a singularity at a target location that enhances all abilities that pass through it, and slows enemies in the singularity by 30%. There are three types of singularities, which can be cycled through by pressing E. The singularity lasts for (2/3/4/5/6) seconds, cost (50/65/80/95/110) mana, and has a cooldown of 10 seconds.

Singularity A: All of Lux's spells that pass through this singularity have their effects (damage, root, shield) increased by (20/24/28/32/36)% and their range/hitbox increased by 20%. Light Binding: Upon contact with the singularity, the Light Binding becomes bigger and pierces two targets, dealing 100% effect to the first target, 50% to the second, 25% to the third Prismatic Barrier: Upon contact with the singularity, the Prismatic Barrier becomes larger and shields more. Also, the Prismatic Barrier can be affected by the singularity twice (once going out, once going in). Final Spark: The area after the singularity becomes a larger laser (BIG LAZERS)

Singularity B: All of Lux's spells that pass through this singularity are divided into portions that have their effects (damage, root, shield) equal to (40/45/50/55/60)% of the original, and the range/hitbox equal to 60% of the original. Light Biinding: Upon contact with the singularity, the Light Binding splits into 5 smaller Light Blindings that cannot pierce targets. Prismatic Barrier: Upon contact with the singularity, the Prismatic Barrier splits into three smaller Prismatic Barriers that return to Lux (think Talon's W). Lux gains the full shield on return. Final Spark: The area past the singularity is converted into a cone at 45 degrees. (Remember, this only does 40-60 percent of the original damage)

Singularity C: All of Lux's spells that pass through this singularity become homing and have their effects equal to (30/35/40/45/50)% of the original. Light Binding: Upon contact with the singularity, Light Binding automatically seeks out the nearest target (prioritizing champions). This cannot pierce and cannot be blocked by minions. Prismatic Barrier: Upon contact with the singularity, Prismatic Barrier automatically seeks out the nearest Ally, and travels towards them before returning back to Lux. Final Spark: The area past the singularity is instantly directed towards the nearest champion, no matter which angle it is fired at. This will always hit at least one champion unless that champion has invulnerability.

So yeah, feedback/discussion below. And yes, this is based off the El Crystal Spectrum. I personally find that mechanic to be cool and unique.

This feels to me like you're kind of gimping Lux out of part of her kit. She's a long range fishing/poke mage. She pokes with E, and fishes for kills with Q combo'd into ER. This takes her relatively basic kit and turns it into a 12 piece monster of a champion to learn.

Taking it back a step as if she were a new champion, that is a LOT of mechanics to put into one kit, which I really don't mind, most of the time. I think it could work taking a single one of these, but I think all 3 formes is ridiculously complicated.

All balance and clarity nightmares aside, it sounds hella fun.

She'd need serious damage buffs or she won't be able to kill anyone.

Not sure how much you realize turning her ult into a 45 degree cone would mean. That AoE would be massive even at 40-60% of the range. You could cover about 75% of a single quarter of the jungle with that ult.

I don't realy like the changes you made and I see what you are trying to do with her, but I don't think you realize how much she is reliant on her current E for damage. (It's about 30%, more if she gets all her passive proc off, of her damage and often sets up her combo.)

This would make her unnecessarily difficult to play.
