How are Azir changes on PBE not a nerf?

Azir Azir

  • Conquering Sands (Q) Sand Soldier damage increased to 75/105/135/165/195 from 60/90/120/150/180 - Arise (W) AP ratios decreased to .6 from .7
  • Shifting Sands (E) shield value increased to 80/120/160/200/240 from 60/100/140/180/220

That W nerf is massive. on 500 AP that's 50 damage nerf EACH auto attack of solider(s) you only gain 15 on your Q and 20 on shield which will be irrelevant. I would like to see an AP ratio introduced on his shield.

Aren't nerfs completely overshadowing the buffs? :o

Oh it's a nerf alright. Non scaling base damages on Q and E increases do not make up for scaling losses on an already not too high W.

Yes he can get powerful late game, but in the same way an ADC with that much damage does. So far they aren't nerfing all ADC's.

Personally I don't understand it.

They are nerfing his lategame and buffing his early game.

Meddler replied to my thread on the same topic, he said they think his early game is too weak and late game might be too strong thus they are testing these changes.
