Autofill Often Creates a Situation that Fails the Team, Fails the Player, and Fails the Match.

Many of the single/duo ranked losses I have experienced in the 2017 season have involved a player who wanted to play a mid champion and were autofilled into the support role. They then play the same mid champion, build squishy damage, do NOT build a sightstone/sweeper, and are not capable of peeling for the adc. It fails the entire team. Even when they play well they take kills from the adc and are not farming so they will eventually fall behind regardless of kills, and late game the team is usually too squishy without the peels needed to survive.

Option 1: Remove support from the autofill rotation. Option 2: Announce to the team with a pop up that so-and-so wanted x and z, but were autofilled for y to facilitate communication and trading.

Option 1 isn't gonna happen. Fill has always been another way of saying "support".

Option 2 makes sense, but only if it comes with sanctions against people who are blatantly not playing their assigned role.

I'm being auto-filled as support... From support. Much wow autofill rito.

In all seriousness, autofill in ranked is cancer.

I usually auto fill to top or mid... but I'm in diamond.
