Poachers dirk should not have a cooldown

Its a risky ass item and if it comes into the meta it could be more exciting for junglers. Lethality is already about to leave the meta so if this item does not get a buff, just remove it.

Except that makes it too strong. It also makes any AD snowballer really good since they can just counterjungle all game and get a LOT of free power for doing that. Plus counterjungling already has it's own benefits, making it have no CD would just be silly. At that point you might as well not buy a serrated since anyone with a Dirk can already take a jg camp on their own whenever the enemy jgler ganks anywhere.

It definitely needs a CD or it would just be oppressive to have a couple hundred free gold of stats on top of having just wiped one side of the enemy jungle.

But the fact it would have no cooldown would give it some counterplay too. As it stands right now, unless you're the jungler buying it(which there are almost no junglers doing that to my knowledge besides Kindred, and they're making lethality less viable on her) then you go in and take a camp quick if the jungler is spotted at a lane on the map. If however it had no cooldown, you might try to take more camps, giving a risk of being collapsed on. As it stands now, there is almost no risk of being collapsed on because of the cooldown. If the risk was there, that by itself would weight on people not bullying the enemy jungler's feed too much, and it would give the counterplay of stopping them more often because they will try for riskier steals.

It would also make it a more viable buy, because no one wants to wait for lethality in their builds, it would be a better power spike to instead stay longer and buy a serrated when you have the money because you don't have to wait on the lethality. This is one of the reason's it's a poor buy at the moment. The other major reason being that you don't get many opportunities to leave lane and be able to invade the enemy jungle safely(really only works consistently if you're winning lane, and the enemy jungler is behind). If we wanted a middle ground on this, the solution might be to have the cooldown apply once the person takes at least one enemy camp then exit's their jungle(probably have an extra 10-20s cooldown too, but that would be up to balance team). That way there's even further counterplay, and a good player/opportunist can get it upgraded in a decent amount of time.

However if the enemy jungler died there is almost no risk to doing it unless the whole enemy team wants to give up their lanes for a while. You shouldn't save 400 gold just because the enemy jungler died once. You should get 400 gold because you can continuously prove that you can sneak in and steal camps.

I do think the CD needs to be reduced, but removing it entirely seems excessive. Personally I would like to see it hover around 20 seconds, so that you could take at max 2 camps of a single mistake, rather than get 400 gold on top of whatever caused the enemy jungler to be away from their jungle for a long amount of time.

Removing the CD also means that champs like Kha who start snowballing suddenly save 1200 gold on their lethality items because it is easy for them to invade and get kills. Kha especially has the safety to escape stuff like that anyways. Making it so that every time Kha starts a new item he gets 400 free gold for killing you and stealing your farm would be very oppressive and snowbally.

Boards at its best

For real. This suggestion is absolutely mental and it has 9 upvotes. I'm pretty sure nobody plays jungle on this board

no need to remove it IMO. But we already need to see what riot will do about lethality.

It needs a small CD to stop the enemy jg from simply chain-clearing camps. 15-20s is probably more than enough. You can hop in and clear some, but you can't easily fill it up the first time the other jg dies.

Simply buying dirk screams "I WILL ATTEMPT TO NON-STOP COUTERJUNGLE YOU" to the enemy team.

If they aren't absolutely braindead, they will ward camps and collapse on you when you try anything.
