About Champion mastery?

What kinds of rewards do you guys think we'll see in the future? I'm sincerely hoping for higher tiers of mastery and IP rewards. A game I used to play called CrossFire would give you achievements and different amounts of in game currency for mastery of different classes of weapons. And head shots with that weapon. So what if we received something like that, where for a certain amount of double kills or triples, etc... Would give us IP bonuses? I would find this especially good for people who are still trying to get to level 30. I've been playing since season 3 and STILL don't own every champion, and have spent plenty of money on a good portion of them. With runes and champions coming at such high prices and such low rewards per game, I feel like this would be a good boost for new players. And also a new way for people to buy runes for the competitive level of play. What are you guys hoping to see as rewards with this new system?

The amount of doublekills/triplekills/whatever would need to be tailored to the specific champion though, and everyone knows RITO hates doing extra work. Because someone like Soraka may go an entire game without getting a single kill, and shes supposed to be that way. She could probably be fine with something like "Get 30 assists in a game for 50 IP" or "Every 500 assists you get 1000 IP". Imagine a bunch of people going ADC Soraka because they need kills and "gotta get dem mastery monies".

On the other end of the spectrum look at Katarina, the pentakill machine herself. People would probably play her just to get the multikills and "get dem mastery monies". In a perfect world she would need a higher number of multikills to get the same amount of IP as a Xerath for example. Because it's significantly harder to get a pentakill on a Xerath than a Katarina.

Maybe it's my old habit of playing FPS games with my brother, but I hope we get something similar to Battlefield rewards where you get related cosmetics. Somewhat these have been substantiated, ie getting to see mastery in you champ select and in your owned champions page, but I would love to see something like a summoner icon maybe. In BF4 you got dog tags and backgrounds for your favorite guns when you leveled them up and when you got certain accomplishments. I think it should be hard, but it would be awesome to have like "play 100 games in any pvp mode with a champion, get their champ select picture as an icon option." I think it would be so much cooler to have my main champ be the icon rather than past season rank or one you buy. I also think it would only be meaningful if you had to work pretty hard to get it so you could only get max tier rewards on a few champions you main unless you play way more hours than average, like a full time streamer or something.

Also pipe dream wish list that won't happen would be a bunch of achievements and when you finish ever single one and hit max mastery with a champ (should be hard, like, not doable in less that 80-100 games on the champ hard and then you need to play decent in most of those games to get it that fast) you get the chroma pack recolors for the base model skin. I'd flip out at how awesome it was if you could ONLY get the base skin chroma packs this way. I know it won't happen (especially the second, because why would riot restrict a cosmetic option from being RP available just to be an awesome reward), but it would be so cool to work for an unlock that you could show off and be all happy about that was so hard to get the average player would only have it for one or two champs. I mean, when you saw someone with the base pack chroma you'd be like man, congrats to you, they must be one of your favorite champs and you finished everything.

It took me roughly 3 years to finish buying all champions, though I did buy two with RP instead of IP; I wanted both of their release skins, so the bundle price made sense, as it essentially cut out the IP price that would otherwise have been required. But aside from those few exceptions, all of it was done with IP.

So that's all champions, along with all the runes I'll ever need, and it took me 3 years to earn and spend the necessary IP.
