League vs Hots.

SO ima new player started last week. and so far its pretty okay (I like hots way more atm), but a few things I find annoying and I can imagine that other new players find annoying as well. The Talent tree and runes.

The talent tree feels super unfair around level 10 because thats when you start playing against players that are level 18+ in which they have a keystone or w/e its called which can make lanning against them a bit annoying since (Thunderlords) adds a nice bit of burst too help you win the trade, and I feel cheated when I lose a trade or lane due to it. I think that they should just give players the 30 points from the start so its fair for everyone no matter the level. And as a reward for leveling make it like hots where you get IP per level or some sort of reward (maybe a free chest some levels and IP others or an IP boost) And than once you hit 30 you get an IP boost for 5 days or something to help gather champs for ranked and runes.

The other thing is runes. I think you should just have em all from the start it kinda just feels like they want you to buy runes so that you waste your ip since you cant really go into ranked with out them and have a balanced starting game compared to everyone else. But like I was saying, it feels like they want you to waste the ip so that you will want to buy an IP boost for SUPER OVER PRICED PRICES and or just flat out buy the champ you want.

Anyone else agree with me? I feel like it will help with the game play and the grind if im actually getting a cool reward like IP and a chest or something.

i still read HOTS as "heart of the swarm" for starcraft 2's zerg expansion and not blizzard's stupid mockery of league

Darius yeah plus with all that drama with them pretty much taking money from pros and casters since theyre not always to make money off of anything aka youtube twitch (riot just takes all that shit)

I beta tested HotS and reached rank 7 after release so maybe I can help you out.

Let me start off by apologizing because the new player experience in LoL is terrible. The problem with being matched with people who are higher level (and therfore have access to better masteries) is a common one. Unfortunately, all you can really do is grin and bear through it.

Tier 3 rune prices are intentionally high to bait you into spending all your IP on them in an attempt to force you into spending RP on champions. However, IP is much more easily obtained than gold in HotS. It takes less time to grind IP for champions than it does in HotS.

If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know

yes, they want u to waist ur IP on runes so u have to buy ur champions with RP (real money), so its unlikely they will change anything.

For the keystones, I personally don't know why they don't give you all 30 to begin with. I'd assume they are just trying to ease you into it.

Getting something for leveling up would be pretty cool but it's not really necessary.

Runes don't really matter much in low elo, which is where all the new players will be anyway. Besides, it's not really a good idea to jump right into ranked. You might as well just grind out the ip in norms if it really matters that much to you.

League is a game that rewards you for playing over time and gets you more attached to it while Heroes of the Storm is a easy just do things version where your dedication to the game over time gets you pretty much nothing as for keystones, I got my first one in a week it's not hard at all to level up fast and the LvL 2 runes only cost 1 IP each to help starters

Overall Heroes is a way better game from a design, balance, gameplay, and artisitic perspective. Its just more fun.

That being said, I like league because there are over 100 champs. Every game feels different and fresh, and champions interact with each other in cool ways.

You should add me we'll play a few games (either moba).
