Play what's overpowered, especially if its one of Riot's favored champs. If you play anything else you are intentionally and knowingly gimping yourself.

Riot blatantly refuses to balance the game, so as long as you pick a champ with a chronic +50% winrate you will statistically win more than you lose. Sometimes MUCH, MUCH more.
